The Kirk at Kildonan
Retreats are about more than the sessions themselves. They are about the spaces in between: the conversations over breakfast, the quiet moments in the garden, the evening light through the windows and the feeling of living together, if only for a few days, with a little more presence and a little less hurry.
The Kirk at Kildonan is our home throughout the retreat. Originally built as an Arts & Crafts church, it has been lovingly restored to provide comfortable shared accommodation for up to eight guests. Bedrooms are simple and welcoming, while the generous communal spaces invite reading, conversation, reflection and rest—offering a peaceful base from which to experience both the retreat and the beauty of Arran.
Bedrooms
There are four twin bedrooms and space for a maximum of eight guests. Most rooms are shared, so we will talk with you about the arrangements before confirming your booking.
If you are coming with a friend, you can share together. If you are travelling alone, we will discuss room-sharing with you personally. Limited single accommodation may occasionally be available, but cannot be guaranteed.
Each room is prepared with crisp linen, towels and thoughtful touches to help you settle in.

Shared Areas
Life at the Kirk has its own gentle rhythm.
There are meals around the dining table, conversations that continue long after the sessions have ended, quiet corners for reading or writing, and comfortable places simply to pause. Whether you’re seeking company or solitude, the shared spaces offer room for both.
